Starlight Princess slot: RTP, features and how it plays

How it plays

Starlight Princess uses the pay-anywhere format, where 8 to 30 matching symbols are needed depending on the symbol, and winning symbols tumble away to be replaced. Multipliers range from 2x to 500x and accumulate in the free spins, which are triggered by four or more scatters. Visually it is softer than the thunder-and-gods style of Gates of Olympus, but the maths of the interaction is the same.

Who it suits

Players who want a pay-anywhere multiplier slot with a lighter look, and who may have found Gates of Olympus too dark or too dramatic.

What a 96.50% RTP means in Canadian dollars

It lists 96.50%, so $100 wagered carries an expected cost of $3.50. A $0.25 stake over 400 spins is $100, which is long enough for the average to show up in the form of a few bonuses and many dry stretches. As in similar games, the real swings come from multipliers, so decide how many empty spins you can sit through before you press play.

Watch out for

Do not judge the game on a single bonus. Accumulating multipliers can make one round feel great and the next feel flat.

Starlight Princess compared with its siblings

Starlight Princess 1000 takes the multipliers up to 1,000x. Gates of Olympus is the original template. Sweet Bonanza replaces orbs with candy bombs and a smaller trigger.

Playing it in Canada

Age limits are 19+ in most provinces and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Ontario has its own regulated market under iGaming Ontario, and this site is written for players outside it.

For Starlight Princess, run the demo until you have seen a free-spins round and watch how the multipliers build during it. If the round feels too slow or too dramatic for your taste, you will know before any money is involved.

Checks before you play Starlight Princess

For reference, the listed RTP of Starlight Princess is 96.50%, against Starlight Princess 1000 at 96.50%, Gates of Olympus at 96.50%, Sweet Bonanza at 96.48%. The feature list we checked for Starlight Princess reads: Pay-anywhere with 8-30 matching symbols; multipliers 2x to 500x; free spins with accumulating multipliers; tumbling wins. Confirm each of these in the in-game paytable, because a casino can show a different configuration from the one on the provider's page.
